Our League
Dom City Roller Derby were the third Roller derby league to be established in the Netherlands, and Utrecht’s one and only Roller Derby league.
We’ve played several national and international tournaments and provided players and coaches for the national team in 2014 and 2018.

Our Mission
We want to offer roller derby as a sport in the greater Utrecht area. With enticing trainings and games on multiple levels we want to inspire and assist skaters and volunteers in accomplishing and experiencing fun, satisfaction and sportive achievements on a basis of equality and inclusivity.

See Us In Action
We organize several home games each season.
Unfortunately, due to Covid-19 all this years events have been postponed. We hope to be back in action next season! Keep an eye on our event calendar.

Support your local Roller Derby
Roller Derby is a completely DYI sport. We go by the saying, “for the skater, by the skater”. That means we fund our own training facility, travel costs, uniforms, and so on. But of course there are ways to support us!
- Volunteering is an awesome way to become involved in the sport
- Come to games, or buy our merchandize
- Become a sponsor
Hear from our skaters!

League History
A big shout out to the people who helped build this league!
In June of 2010, Zafanja (aka PolkaShot) founded the first and only roller derby league in Utrecht. On a little basketball field in Overvecht, a small group gathered to skate their very first laps. Shortly after, this group moved to the Veemarkthallen where they had actual roller derby practice, first once and then twice a week. Eventually, a board arose and committees, and Dom City Dolls (now Dom City Roller Derby) became an official league.
In the past years, our league has grown immensely, our first scrimmage is ancient history, we’ve had many amazing bouts, and the Disaster Dome is our current training location. Our two teams: Dom City Dolls and ThunderDoms, actively and enthusiastically compete against other roller derby leagues all across the Netherlands, Europe, and sometimes the whole world!

We are recruiting Officials!
Are you looking for a new challenge? Become a derby referee or non skating official! No experience required, we can teach you the ins and outs.
